Organic

Disregard the purple shadows, haha

Watercolor piece for Rendering

Stuck in a major art rut...

Oh and for themes... hmm, it could fit in with 'organic' quite nicely! :3

Dessert & New Medium

Cupcake sketches in oil pastels done while procrastinating on important finals for school.  Anyways this crosses both the dessert and new medium theme off the list, double whammy!

Speaking of new mediums, it was really tricky trying to figure out how to layer color with oil pastels.  The lighter pastels would often end up piling up oil from the darker color underneath and it would all smear together and yeah... the end result ended up looking super flat.  Especially the blue cupcake!

But I'm sure I'll learn new tricks for that the more I practice with them.

LONG overdue movie post.

This is so late it's hilarious. And you know what's the kicker is?  I NEVER FINISHED IT.  It still needs like a billion more layers for it to look complete, I didn't even fill in the pattern of her dress.  Whateverrr.

This is from Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai.  Done with watercolor.

Look at that huge white splotch.  Look at that empty gray wash.  Eww, okay stop looking now.

Movie Still

Hello! This is for Sunday's theme, which was movie still, original or existing.

Uh, if you know of this movie, then wow, tell me what other movies you've seen!

Bear with me on the crappy quality of the photo. : P

Woo hoo, updates!

We are going to get this blog moving again.  That is the plan.

There's a brand new set of themes that start next Sunday.  We've all got a few days of preparation so there should be no stragglers this time!

The upcoming theme is "movie still", so create something that looks like a screenshot of a movie scene!
